MECHANICAL STORE ROOM SUPERVISOR

Major End Results (Primary Duties):
1. Manages daily operation of Mechanical Storeroom - Reviews daily issue out sheets from parts room attendants and communicates with them daily to ensure that proper procedures are being followed and any issues are addressed. Correct any concerns that he/she observes and provide support with the MP2 maintenance system and Business Central as needed. Regularly update the ( Purchasing) Manager regarding performance of the storeroom and any issues that come up. (20%)
2. Manages daily and periodical mechanical purchasing and receiving tasks. Performs mechanical purchasing activities such as generating requisitions/purchase orders and obtaining approval signatures from appropriate management team members (Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Plant Engineering Manager, Plant Manager, Purchasing Manager). He/she will also direct mechanical receiving activities which include receiving items into MP2/Business Central storeroom, matching packing slips/PO’s/invoices to send to corporate accounts payable, and Vendor Managed Inventory. (45%)
3. Reviews Preventative Maintenance Plans and ensures parts are stocked to perform work in a timely manner.
4. Collaborates closely with Maintenance Management to provide all stock and non-stock items for preventative and corrective maintenance work.
5. Develops, presents, and coordinates training for maintenance personnel, as appropriate, regarding mechanical storeroom best practices and policy compliance (10%).
6. Periodically reviews purchasing history and mechanical needs to improve customer service to the Maintenance team department.
7. Ensures completion of period end mechanical storeroom reconciliations, cycle counts, and other required tasks per company policies. (20%). Two Full inventories of all parts each calendar year at all locations (9700, Main Plant and Bakery).
8. Each period close, the Mechanical Storeroom Supervisor will compile a period end mechanical storeroom reconciliation to share with the plant finance team and Purchasing Manager. This will include beginning and ending parts room inventory values, stock movement (purchasing receives, item check outs, returns to vendor, returns to stock, physical inventory adjustments, and stock adjustments).
9. Recaps stock movements greater than $1000 and provide a recap of the period cycle counts. (5%)
10. Any and all other duties as assigned by Manager
Education and/or Experience: Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Business management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven problem solver with highly developed interpersonal and leadership traits.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
