Job description

Store Lead — Vintage & Makers Market


A new vintage and makers market is coming to Plaza Bonita, and we’re hiring!

We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Store Lead to help launch and operate our new location. The Store Lead will work closely with the Regional Store Manager to oversee daily operations, support and develop a small team, and build positive relationships with our vendors and customers.


Responsibilities

The Store Lead will assist the Regional Store Manager with:

  • Hiring, training, scheduling, and managing staff
  • Curating, onboarding, and managing vendors
  • Maintaining a high level of awareness around loss prevention
  • Organizing vendor sales and communications
  • Creating and maintaining a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors
  • Overseeing daily store operations, including opening, closing, and preparing deposits
  • Creating social media posts and other store communications
  • Promoting excellent customer service
  • Ensuring staff are knowledgeable about our vendors, shops, and merchandise
  • Helping set and achieve store and sales goals

Qualifications

  • Management or leadership experience required; 2+ years preferred
  • Ability to confidently lead a small team and oversee daily store operations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable, responsible, and comfortable taking initiative
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to motivate and encourage a team
  • A genuine interest in vintage, handmade goods, and supporting local small businesses is a huge bonus!
  • Retail experience
  • Cash handling
  • Experience working in a mall environment is helpful, but not required

Schedule

Part time 35-37 hours per week. The Store Lead will typically work 5 days per week with full 7.5-hour shifts, including weekends and some holidays as needed.
