We are currently hiring an Equipment Engineer (Day Shift)

Position Summary:

• Diagnose equipment failures, finds root cause, and communicates and implements actions taken to the rest of the team
• Collaborates with engineering or other cross functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime
• Support of Production Equipment to improve throughput and reduce downtime including procurement, installation, upgrades, design modifications, troubleshooting failures, reducing operating costs
• Day to day coverage of production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and Production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
• Investigates and implements countermeasures to prevent the repetitive breakdown of equipment's
• Lead the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance planning of manufacturing equipment

Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process

• engineering organizations
• Plans for future development in-line with strategic business objectives
• Develops, maintains, and enforces maintenance-related standards and procedures

Education:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-years' work experience with automated equipment.

General Requirements:

• Electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience in the use of hand, power, and machine shop tools
• Experience in coordination and oversight of contractors and vendors
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Mechanical and machine design experience a plus
• Experience in PLC programming/ladder logic a plus
• Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication
• Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Must be knowledgeable of pertinent OSHA rules and regulations
• Robotic, mechanical, and electrical trouble shooting skills required
• This position requires stooping and lifting, substantial walking and manual dexterity
