Civil Site AutoCAD Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Design Development: Collaborate with Engineers, Landscape Architects and project teams to develop designs, including site plans, grading plans, road alignments, drainage systems, landscape plans (planting, hardscape), lighting plans and utility layouts, using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2024.
  • 3D Modeling: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D’s 3D modeling capabilities to create 3D representations of terrain, surfaces, and infrastructure elements. Generate accurate profiles, cross-sections, and corridor models.
  • Drafting and Documentation: Prepare detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, and other project documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ensure adherence to industry standards and project requirements.
  • Data Management: Manage and organize project data, including design files, reference files, and associated documentation. Learn and maintain COSTICH firm AutoCAD standards and layering system.
  • Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks on designs and drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other team members to understand project requirements, incorporate design changes, and provide support during the project lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate design decisions and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD Civil 3D features, tools, and best practices. Proactively seek opportunities for professional development and share knowledge within the team to enhance productivity and efficiency.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Drafting, or a related field. OR Relevant certifications or vocational training in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an AutoCAD Designer, preferably in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture projects. Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2024 for drafting and design tasks is essential.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D Expertise: In-depth knowledge and practical experience in utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2024 for civil engineering design tasks. Proficiency in creating alignments, profiles, assemblies, corridors, and surfaces using the software.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture principles, design standards, and industry practices. Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and project requirements. Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Detail Orientation: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work. Ability to identify and resolve design issues and discrepancies.
  • Ability to maintain deadlines and see projects through to full completion.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and propose effective solutions. Ability to work collaboratively and think creatively to overcome obstacles.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively convey design ideas and concepts to stakeholders and team members.
