Warehouse Manager

Forbis Logistics Corp. is an international freight forwarder that is looking for a Warehouse Manager:

Main responsabilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
• Schedule and supervise the warehouse team, managing the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, overseeing general maintenance as necessary.
• Manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, coordinating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery.
• Act as a working manager, assisting in daily warehouse activities while managing and leading the team.
• Supervise and coordinate the unloading of inbound/outbound shipments, ensuring products are correctly counted and free of damage.
• Anticipate and correct potential delays before they occur.
• Ensure the safe operation of all materials handling equipment and maintain current product locator systems.
• Optimize space utilization through warehouse consolidation and maintain, monitor, and enforce KPI tracking/reporting.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, oversee a weekly cleaning schedule, and control warehouse costs to meet or exceed budget expectations.
• Oversee maintenance schedules for forklifts, company trucks, and various equipment. I also maintain warehouse security and promote safety in accordance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Complete all necessary records and reports promptly and accurately, ensuring inventory integrity and conducting physical inventory.
• Be familiar with international shipping and documentation requirements.
• Ensure team adherence to quality and safety standards, provide inventory reports to the Operations Manager, operate forklifts daily, mentor and develop team members, and handle the loading and unloading of export containers and palletized merchandise.
• Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention and efficiency improvements.
• Supervise all aspects of shipping and receiving to align with company service and cost objectives.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, including loading and unloading export containers, airfreight, PMC pallets, and air consolidations. Experience with Hazardous Cargo and Oversized cargo is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) with intermediate computer experience, including Outlook/Gmail. Experience with warehouse management software (WMS) is preferred, though training is available.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience leading a team, with 3-5 years of supervisory experience, and demonstrating leadership, organization, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Must pass a background check and adhere to a drug-free workplace policy.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining warehouse safety programs in compliance with all OSHA, local, and state regulations, emphasizing a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mathematical abilities.
• Understanding of warehousing operations within a distribution and/or manufacturing environment is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience operating/handling forklift trucks (sit-down, stand-up, electric pallet, etc.) and being able to lift 50-lb boxes is required.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and working with KPIs.
