Industrial Steel Shop Supervisor $35-$45/HR

1. Manage the submittal and versioning of rendered drawings to the production floor and,
2. Ensuring the effective and efficient fabrication of the customer specified end product.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
I. Review and modify CAD design drawings as pertinent to individual project requirements.
2. Creates cost estimates (time, material, labor) for industrial job proposals.
3. Manage and direct daily workflow of a steel fabrication shop.
4. Monitor and manage installation of industrial jobs.
5. Purchase materials and supplies required in the steel fabrication shop workflow.
6. Track project costs and provide estimated completion costs and monthly progress reports.
7. Make site visits as needed.
8. Create work instructions for fabrication and installation of industrial projects.
9. Proficient in the use of shop cost management system to create and send proposals.
10. Other duties directed/requested by the General Manager.
Experience includes.
1. 3-5 years in the use of AutoCAD to review and modify product drawings.
2. 1-2 years in industrial project management in a steel fabrication shop environment.
3. 1-2 years creating progress reports and facilitating project team meetings.
4. 1-2 years managing and ordering project materials and fabrication shop supplies.
5. 1-2 years managing project quality lifecycle (specifications v. as-builts)- start to finish.
