Job description

Our client, a leading architectural firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Drawing Coordinator to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, be proficient in Revit, and possess expertise in understanding, reviewing, and creating shop drawings.

This role involves producing complete sets of plans for multifamily and mixed-use buildings, including detailed construction documents.

Important: A portfolio is required. Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand project requirements and objectives
  • Utilize Revit to create architectural designs and develop full sets of plans
  • Prepare accurate and detailed construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
  • Review, interpret, and create shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (structural, MEP, etc.) to integrate their designs into the overall project
  • Review and respond to RFIs and change orders during the construction phase
  • Stay current with architectural design trends, software updates, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Architect or Coordinator, with a focus on shop drawings
  • Proficiency in Revit for architectural design and documentation
  • Strong knowledge of shop drawings, building codes, and construction practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Portfolio required (applications without a portfolio will not be considered)
