Job Description:

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our National Mission Critical team!

This individual will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.

  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.

  • Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.

  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.

  • Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.

  • Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.

  • Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.

  • Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.

  • Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.

  • Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.

  • 1+ year of experience in commercial construction.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects.

You will really stand out if you:

  • Have general knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.

  • Read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.

  • Experience in Construction Management Software (i.e. Procore).

  • Design-build commercial construction experience.
