Role Summary:

We are seeking a Manager of Accounting who will be integral to our studio content business. The ideal candidate will bring substantial expertise in accounting, specifically in managing general ledger accounting and analysis within the film and television industry. With strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience in IFRS, the candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and drive process improvements.

To excel in this role, the candidate must possess a strong foundation in accounting, preferably with Big 4 or public accounting experience. They will also bring exceptional communication and organizational skills to handle month-end and quarter-end close activities efficiently. Role Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Compliance
    • Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities according to U.S. GAAP standards.
    • Prepare journal entries and support schedules for content assets, accruals, and amortization.
    • Oversee consolidation of strategic investments and ensure compliance with statutory, U.S. GAAP, and IFRS requirements.
    • Prepare documentation for Korean SOX compliance.

Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with Production Finance, FP&A, and legal departments to ensure accuracy of financial information.
    • Assist in responding to requests from internal stakeholders and external auditors.
    • Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects requiring coordination across departments.

Analysis and Problem-Solving
    • Conduct account research and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
    • Proactively identify and address challenges in the month-end close process.
    • Apply solution-oriented mindset to resolve issues efficiently.

Process Improvement and Efficiency
    • Drive process improvements in accounting operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Utilize strong organizational and time-management skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Adapt quickly to new tasks and technologies, including ERP software like SAP, to optimize workflows.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 3-6 years of accounting experience in the entertainment or a related field.
Preferably has Big 4 or public accounting experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
A proactive problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptable, quick learner with the ability to take on new tasks efficiently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Experience with SAP or other ERP software.­
