Automotive/Diesel Fleet Technician w/ CDL B

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Automotive/Diesel Fleet Technician with CDL B in Rancho Cordova, CA! The Automotive/Diesel Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light-medium duty gasoline and diesel engine fleet vehicles. PMs and minor repairs will be conducted. Experience with light engine repair, chassis, transmission, alternators, electrical, a/c, brakes, tires, suspension and diagnostics is required. At least 2 ASEs desired or be willing to obtain within 90 days . Any experience with medium duty diesel or having a CDL B is greatly desired and preferred. Computer competency is needed as well to manage part purchasing and work orders. Experience with lift truck generators and hydraulics is a plus!

Compensation: Competitive Negotiable Hourly Pay $32-35/hr - Paid weekly, every Friday! SIGN-ON BONUS MAY BE INCLUDED!

What the Automotive Fleet Mechanic/Technician role looks like:

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation

What our ideal candidate looks like: At least 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
• Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
• Must have own tools
• Must have valid driver's license
