Are you an experienced Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or Automotive Mechanic looking for a stable, long-term opportunity?
We have partnered with a 65-year-old, family-owned irrigation and landscaping company seeking a skilled Lead Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair their fleet of gas and diesel trucks, trailers, pickups, and landscaping equipment. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair gas and diesel trucks, trailers, pickups, and landscaping equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs
  • Troubleshoot engines, electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and drivetrain systems
  • Use scan tools and diagnostic software to quickly identify mechanical issues
  • Maintain accurate service records and minimize fleet downtime
  • Perform (or obtain certification to perform) New York State vehicle inspections
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or Automotive Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience with gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics
  • Comfortable using scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment
  • NYS Inspector Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • ASE Certifications are a plus
