Salary: $120,000 / year

CCJ5-P requires the presence and assistance of experienced senior defense analysts and program analysts who are familiar with the enormous challenges facing the USCENTCOM within the AOR and who will assist CCJ5-P in campaign, contingency, and crisis-action planning; policy and strategy development, review and analysis; Force Flow development and execution; Global Force Management (GFM) utilization; GDP development and management; planner support to ongoing operations; assess the effectiveness of the execution of the CCP; recent technological developments to include Global Adaptive Planning-Collaborative Information Environment (GAP-CIE), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), and coordinating planning activities with other CCMDs, the Joint Staff, the DoD, and other agencies to include coalition partners.


Qualifications:


  • Comprehensive experience in Joint Strategic Planning
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years+ of planning experience
  • 3 years+ planning experience at the Geographic or Functional Combatant Command Headquarters.
  • Preferred graduate of Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW), Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS), or Senior Service College.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct all aspects of the Joint Operational Planning Process including: Mission Analysis, Course of Action (COA) Development, COA Analysis (Wargaming), COA Comparison and Decision. Conduct Plans and Order Development: Analyze COA decision, mission statement, commander’s intent, and guidance to develop plans and/or orders that direct subordinate actions. Conduct orderly handover of a plan into an order to those tasked with execution of the operation.
  • Provide staffs with the situational awareness and rationale for key decisions necessary to ensure that there is a coherent transition from planning to execution. Continuously maintain running estimates that allow for plans and orders refinement.
  • Provide analyses and recommendations, for high-priority USCENTCOM planning efforts involving joint, interagency, and multinational partners and allies.
  • Provide support to the planning efforts of counterparts in USCENTCOM Component Commands, other key Combatant Commands, the Joint Staff, the Office of Secretary of Defense, counterparts in other Federal departments and agencies, and other Directorates.
  • Provide planning expertise regarding the Joint Operational Planning Process, Joint Operational Planning, Execution System and Joint Doctrine.

 

Campaign, Contingency, Crisis-Action, and Special Planning:

 

Each contractor within scope of their duty description, shall conduct analysis to support the writing, coordinating, and maintaining of USCENTCOM campaign, contingency, crisis-action, and special plans, and shall support the development of the initial concept, coordinate key planning issues for senior leadership review and decision, incorporate guidance into specific plan development, and conduct an assessment of draft plans and provide recommendations for refinement of the plans.
