SUMMARY OF POSITION: Joining our energetic and cause-driven team, the Summer Camp Counselor Aid positions plays a vital role in being a “difference maker” for children. This position requires active supervision and participation with you in a variety of indoor and outdoor summer camp activities including sports, arts & crafts, field trips and swimming. PAY RATE: $9.50-10.50
CAMP DATES: May 20, 2024 - August 2, 2024 All staff must be able to attend training on either May 4, or May 11, 2024.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• 16 years of age or older
• High school Student or Graduate/Equivalent
• Previous experience working with children preferably in a day camp setting
• Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: outdoor living, camping, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, recreational games, etc.
• Ability to attend the mandatory summer day camp training within 3 days of hire date.
• Ability to attend the mandatory summer day camp training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work under the general direction of a supervisor to supervise, participate with youth
• Monitor assigned campers at all times
• Accompanies campers to different sites such as field trips, swimming, etc.
• Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the location.
• Attend staff meetings and complete all required training
