SUMMARY: Oversee the operations of the Security/Parking Department and the services that
department provides to the studio. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and
Facilities and will work closely with the Stage Managers, Client Relations and Building
Solutions.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Manage the Security and Parking Departments and insure seamless solutions for any security and parking situations.
- Primary liaison with the security guards and valet parking vendors. Oversee the scheduling, activities and reporting for the security guards and parking valets.
- Responsible for maintaining correctly sized workforce in order to securely and confidently provide the highest level of security services.
- Lead daily communication meetings with the studio’s clients and have a clear understanding of productions overall activities as it relates to security and parking.
- Prepare billing data to clients for security, parking, ID badges and keys services and submit to the Finance Department for processing.
- Oversee the issuance of ID badges, parking placards, parking spaces, and keys to studio clients.
- Coordinate parking requirements with studio clients. Prepare work orders and schedule for Stage/Location/Event special duty security guards.
- Administer issuance of citations for violations of studio parking policies, notifying and correcting tenant infractions of the parking policies and issue billing for such infractions to the Finance Department when appropriate. Track parking violations for multiple offenses by users.
- Maintain and update maps and databases for truck and car parking allocations for each client; daily parking availability and temporary parking information.
- Maintain the key, badge access, punch-code and other locking systems for the studio.
- Prepare work orders for office keys, distribute keys to clients, and manage vendors who service and maintain these systems.
- Monitor studio security camera system and administer its upkeep, repair and maintenance.
- Prepare/update security alerts and advisories for security personnel and tenants.
- Order signage related to parking and security and prepare billing information for the Finance Department.
- Create reports that summarize the performance of all studio’s security team members.
- Participate in the development of new properties and construction project meetings from time to time.
- Create meeting agendas and maintain action-item documents for deliverable items stemming from those meetings.
- Assure that drive-on requests for daily visitors are well communicated.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- General understanding of production and studio operations business is key.
- Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and email.
- Availability for any after-hour instances that warrant involvement and coordination of the security and parking teams. This includes unforeseen emergency situations.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with diverse populations.
- Always exercise discretion and confidentiality as it relates to information internal activities, clients, productions and company trade secrets and other confidential information.
- Ability to multi-task with composure in a fast paced environment with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
- Make sound decision and set goals based on available information and evaluate situations and requirements to plan and adjust work accordingly.
- Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision; able to make decisions about the severity of variable situations and evaluate the most appropriate response.
- Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Demonstrate sound work ethics.
EDUCATION:
- College degree or equivalent experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPOSURES:
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a seated position, go outside, stand, walk and move about the property, climb stairs, bend and reach. Vision with or without correction must be sufficient to read. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds daily; up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of talking and impart thoughts or ideas accurately.
