Automotive Body Engineer

Revology Cars is hiring an Automotive Body Engineer at the Orlando, Florida facility where we build new Ford-licensed reproduction 1965-68 Mustang and Shelby GT automobiles.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Automotive Body Engineer designs and develops vehicle exterior and interior body panels and structural components, works with suppliers to tool and manufacture them, and works with the company's production team to ensure they are assembled correctly.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Develop Class A surface exterior and interior body panels.
• Develop body structure components.
• Work with suppliers to build the new parts in accordance with quality, cost, and timing requirements.
• Ensure effective implementation of the new parts in production.
• Consider performance, function and manufacturability constraints while balancing cost and schedule.
• Ensure components meet functional requirements and cost targets.
• Demonstrate measurable performance improvements and use testing methods to validate specifications.
• Plan, manage and report workload while proactively communicating foreseeable challenges.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of automotive body engineering, including Class A surfacing, body structures, and closures.
• Experience using Catia, with emphasis on sheet metal, structural, solid modeling, kinematics, structural analysis, and 2D drawings.
• 3-5 years of experience in an automotive part design engineering capacity.
• Professional experience designing OEM body panels. Experience with composites and/or superformed aluminum is a plus.
• Demonstrable knowledge of processes and methodologies to ensure repeatability.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
