Established Plaintiff's Personal Injury Firm in Melville (Long Island) seeks an experienced paralegal Spanish speaking is preferred with 3+ years of Plaintiff's Personal Injury experience. This position requires extensive client interaction and attention to detail on a heavy case load.
Paralegal to partner with attorney in managing files from pre-suit to trial with working knowledge of New York No-Fault claims.
Pre-litigation work include: communicate with clients to gather information and documentation; investigate and document pertinent information; file no-fault application and disability/lost wage claims; handle property damage claims; monitor client's progress; secure medical records and bills; prepare demand letters; and maintain excellent client contact.
Litigation duties include: calendar and observe all statute dates and deadlines; schedule discovery such as depositions; file and serve legal pleadings and documents; and maintain contact with opposing counsel.
