Job Description

Position Overview:

 

As a member of our team, you are a seasoned and safety-conscious experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead the operations of our food product warehouse. This critical role entails managing all aspects of warehouse operations, from receiving and shipping to inventory management, while ensuring strict compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) standards. As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient procedures, maintaining safety and quality standards, and leading a dedicated team to achieve our goals.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Warehouse Management (SQF/GDP Focus): Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and staff supervision, ensuring strict adherence to SQF and GDP standards.

Policy and Procedure Development (SQF/GDP Focus): Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures that promote efficiency and safety while aligning closely with SQF and GDP guidelines.

Precise Inventory Control (SQF/GDP Focus): Maintain accurate inventory records and uphold timely and accurate order fulfillment, with a heightened focus on product safety and quality.

Health and Safety Compliance (SQF/GDP Focus): Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and standards, with a particular emphasis on SQF and GDP requirements.

Equipment Maintenance (SQF/GDP Focus): Manage and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they meet SQF and GDP cleanliness and operational requirements.

Team Leadership (SQF/GDP Focus): Hire, train, and supervise warehouse staff, setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations in alignment with SQF and GDP standards.

Supplier and Shipping Relationships (SQF/GDP Focus): Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and shipping companies to guarantee the timely and safe delivery of goods, while ensuring their compliance with SQF and GDP requirements.

Performance Metrics Monitoring (SQF/GDP Focus): Continuously monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics, such as inventory levels and shipping accuracy, while aligning these measures with SQF and GDP standards.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives (SQF/GDP Focus): Drive the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency, productivity, and SQF/GDP compliance.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma with at least 5 years of experience in warehouse management, demonstrating a proven track record of success and a strong understanding of SQF and GDP standards..

Valid Driver’s License (required) CDL (preferred).

SQF Practioner and HAACP Food Safety Certification (preferred).

OSHA Forklift certification (required).

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team to excel while ensuring SQF and GDP compliance.

Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse software, with a history of implementing and managing such systems to uphold SQF and GDP guidelines.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, enabling you to identify and resolve complex operational issues in accordance with SQF and GDP standards.

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to SQF and GDP requirements.
