Job Description

General Description
A mission critical consulting company is seeking a self-driven salesperson with a background in
one of the following skillsets: sales, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction
management, project management, electrical or mechanical equipment distribution. Position will
involve sales and sales engineering for mission critical power and cooling equipment. Individual
will have the support of an international Fortune 500 organization, and, as a direct
manufacturers’ rep will represent that organization in sales efforts.


Duties and Responsibilities
 Identify and qualify new account prospects within the assigned territory.
 Develop new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
 Understand and present the capabilities of our equipment and service offerings.
 Develop and present quotes and proposals for new equipment, services, and on-going maintenance contracts.
 Attend trade shows and sales meetings as required for relationship building and industry recognition.
 Travel as necessary to cover customer calls throughout appointed territory.
 Track update opportunities and projects within a CRM.
 Track status of equipment procurement and logistics and effectively communicate with customer(s).
 Manage equipment deployments and subcontracts for turn-key construction installations.


Qualities and Experience
 Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
 Have strong prospecting and relationship building skills.
 Focus on customer service.
 Ability to read and comprehend engineered construction plans and specifications.
 Three (3) years of experience in a related industry.
 Expertise in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.


Job Location and Travel Requirement
 Des Moines and the surrounding area. Will be expected to travel to
appointments throughout Iowa and the representatives territory as required.

Critical Facilities Technology (CFT) was founded 20 years ago in Denver Colorado as a factory representative for Schneider Electric, focusing on UPS system design, sales and support. We have grown since then to manage an 11 state territory focusing primarily on Schneider UPS system design, installation and sales. In addition to the UPS portion of our business, we also sell and support automatic transfer switches, transformers, full data center solution design and implementation, turn-key installations involving General Contracting, Engineering and Electrical/Mechanical Installation.

As an extension of our current capabilities, we are taking care of our customers long term by providing factory trained support for Schneider UPS systems, data center solutions, isolated power solutions etc. We are hiring critical power technicians to support all of our product lines in all regions. Our technicians also support the contractors working with our equipment and the facility staff owning and operating our equipment. We perform pre-install walks with contractors to ensure they have all the information they need for a successful install. We provide extended service plans on a large percentage of equipment we sell for preventative maintenance and updates to existing equipment. We travel to other regions to support other large projects and deployments.
