Buyer/Purchasing Agent

Champion Controls, Inc., an established control systems integrator and control panel manufacturer is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team. With expertise in the latest Water & Wastewater systems technologies, Champion Controls Inc. serves municipal, commercial, institutional, and industrial end-users throughout the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean. We also work with the major construction contractors and engineering firms in applications of wireless RTU/Telemetry Systems & the automation of Movable Bridges. Champion Controls manufactures all its products to the highest standards in an Underwriters Laboratory (UL) certified facility.

Responsibilities And Requirements

• Your main responsibility is to buy electrical/electronic components for multiple product Bills of Materials by contacting our vendors/suppliers, getting quotes, negotiating price discounts, creating requisitions & purchase orders, and expediting shipments to meet our custom build-to-order (BTO) production schedule.
• You will also interface with our engineering and manufacturing staff daily.
• Must be organized, efficient, and able to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Should be familiar with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with MRPEasy, Odoo or other MRP software preferred.
• Experience with new MRP system implementations desired.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical components preferred.
• Prior experience in light manufacturing & office environment preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
