Bartender - Trapper's Sushi

Trapper's Sushi is now looking for a Bartender to join our growing team in our new San Antonio location! As one of the Pacific Northwest's most desired dining establishments, our mission is to learn our customers names, as well as provide the best service and food possible, leaving our customers with a craving to come back for more!

Bartenders prepare drink orders for Trapper's Sushi guests, while occasionally taking a section of tables. The goal is to provide customers with a memorable experience by getting to know our customers by name, in adherence to our Mission Statement. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues and follow established health and safety standards.

Compensation for this position is minimum wage plus cash and credit tips.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare beverage orders for guests and Food Servers in a timely fashion
• Set up bar and bar area tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customer requests, offer food/beverages, answer questions and/or make recommendations for other products
• Collaborate with other bartenders, restaurant servers and/or kitchen staff
• Respond to customer complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Deliver checks, accept, and process payments
• Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core values

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven bartending experience
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers and ensure mutual satisfaction
• Responsible and trustworthy, with cash handling experience
• Excellent people skills
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• High school diploma preferred; food safety training will be a plus
• Texas State Food Handler Card and TABC Certification are required before the first day of employment

Physical Demands

• The employee must regularly lift items up ten pounds, frequently up to twenty pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand throughout their shift, walk, reach with hands and arms in front of body, lift, twist, crouch occasionally.
