Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff members in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice.
Assess and address students' health needs, including managing chronic conditions, administering medications, and responding to medical emergencies.
Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized health care plans (IHCPs) for students with special medical needs.
Conduct health screenings, immunization reviews, and health assessments to promote wellness and prevent disease transmission within the school community.
Educate students, families, and staff members on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and injury prevention.
Maintain accurate health records, documentation of nursing interventions, and communication with healthcare providers and stakeholders.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing is preferred.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
