Prestonwood Country Club, a premier establishment in Cary, NC, is searching for a Assistant Snack Bar Manager (Front of House - FOH) to help lead our Snack Bar/Pool Team from April - September. If you are experienced in F&B , a strong leader, outgoing, friendly, and customer service-driven, we want to talk to you!
This position is a temporary position that is open according to the pools operating schedule. This hands-on position reports directly to the Snack Bar Manager. The Assistant Snack Bar Manager focuses on ensuring member and guest satisfaction by overseeing and controlling the quality of service and products at the Snack Bar. Responsible for duties prior to pool opening including: hiring and training of seasonal staff, creating standard operating procedures for staff, scheduling, cleaning and set up of kitchen and service areas, coordinating menu and price changes with Snack Bar Manager, Director of Food and Beverage and Chef, and initial ordering of all products needed for opening.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for initial set up/breakdown, cleaning, and stocking of pool Snack Bar kitchen.
- Continuously practices and trains all Snack Bar staff members on the quality standards for safety, sanitation and food handling in addition to procedures for operating the Snack Bar counter service.
- Required to manage multiple tasks during high volume events and maintain strong organizational skills.
- Trains and develops the bartender team, has ability to work that role when needed. (will be in charge of the Snack Bar alcohol beverage program and maintaining quality controls)
- Ability to cater to members' and guests' needs with a high level of customer service and communication to ensure satisfaction.
- Must be able to work with individuals and teams of diverse backgrounds and interact with all team members in a professional manner.
- Oversees all Poolside Buffet table setups for club functions and special events to ensure proper flow and presentation of Snack Bar and Banquet food items.
- Responsible supervision of setting up, maintaining, and breaking down all poolside Private Party and Club Function Buffets
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls of all Food and Beverage items used for Snack Bar service.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have minimum of 2 years of Food and Beverage experience, supervisor experience a plus.
- Must be able to work weekends and all holidays during the pool season. (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)
- Show excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have computer and POS skills including spreadsheets, provide food and labor analysis reports
- Must be able to manage several projects at once
- Must have knowledge and previous bar operation experience.
- Serve safe is a plus.
