Research and Development Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated R&D Technician to join our Research and Development team. The ideal candidate will assist in the formulation, testing, and evaluation of new materials for paints, coatings, adhesives, and polymeric compounds. Additionally, this role will involve providing technical support to sales and manufacturing teams by helping to solve real-world issues and identifying process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments and tests on various formulations under the guidance of senior researchers.
- Assist in the development and optimization of new products.
- Prepare samples and prototypes for internal testing and customer evaluations.
- Provide technical support to sales and manufacturing teams by troubleshooting issues and suggesting product enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including chemists, engineers, and production staff to implement process improvements.
- Perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- Previous experience (internship or industry exposure) in a laboratory setting, preferably within paints, coatings, adhesives, or polymer materials.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with formulation software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the industry.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools.
