Summary of Position

The Manufacturing Trainer will work with Human Resources to support our training initiatives training, with emphasis on new operator hires. Support includes but is not limited to every training aspect from the first day a Press Operator starts and as well as continuous training throughout the employee's time with the company. In addition, this role will provide LMS development support in facilities where the LMS system is being utilized. Safety training content development as well as our Forklift Certification will fall under this position's responsibility. This role involves collaborating with Managers and Supervisors to ensure proper training for Operational employees on all shifts.


Essential Functions

  • Assist and deliver training in our 5-day cohort for new operators (Day's 2-4) as well as support development of Learning Management System Training (LMS) for facilities utilizing the LMS system.
  • Communicate to production management regarding new and existing personnel that have completed training along with feedback on concern areas.
  • Work directly with operators to ensure understanding of documented operational processes and procedures.
  • Train all new personnel on Quality and other job specific skills.
  • Train all new personnel on proper completion of production paperwork.
  • Ensure clear understanding of all high-risk areas, such as proper labeling, right-hand/left-hand packaging, etc.
  • Work with Plant Manager to schedule time for shooting new video and creating content for the LMS program in US Facilities where it is used.
  • Develop and maintain instructional documentation and training materials.
  • Manage tests and provide maintenance for content within the LMS.
  • Create testing to measure the success of employees and relevance of course materials.
  • Ensure new hires follow all safety protocols and good manufacturing practices (GMP) training, including how to maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in ensuring training programs are compliant with company goals, industry rules and regulations in partnership with Operations, Quality, Safety and Human Resources.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering/Quality/Operations regarding potential improvements to Operational documents including but not limited to; Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other documents to ensure understanding regardless of language spoken.
  • Act as a resource for Continuous Improvement projects particularly when standardization in process is required for sustained improvements.
  • Work with Operations & Quality to identify new operator training needs.
  • Perform Layered Process Audits (LPA's) at both US facilities and note areas where operator training can be enhanced and improved.
  • Set an example for others in complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate translation of documents as needed to ensure proper understanding of written communications.
  • Interact with clients & coworkers professionally & respectfully.
  • Other duties as assigned.

· Stop the manufacturing process if there are any quality or safety concerns (and notify management immediately).

Level of Authority

· Stop any action in the plant that is deemed unsafe for employees or guests to ensure everyone's safety.

· Require completion of training to ensure employees are aware of critical aspects of their job (e.g., Safety).



Qualifications:

· Multilingual, English is required (level 5 fluency), fluent in any of the following language(s) is preferred Pashto, Urdu, Dari, Spanish, or Arabic.

· Bachelor's degree required, degree in training and development a plus.

· Must be flexible to working outside of normal working hours and rotate shifts when needed to train/re-train.

· Experience delivering operational training in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

· Preferred 2+ years Manufacturing or QA experience

· Detail oriented.

· Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions.

· Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills

· Strong problem solving.

· Proficient in Microsoft Suite and knowledge of mass media communication.

· Experience with Wondershare Filmora a plus.

· Demonstrated presentation skills utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint software.

· A sense of ownership and teamwork

· Must be a highly motivated person with leadership ability and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

· Regular & prompt attendance on site at the facilities supported.

· Demonstrated training experience with the ability to validate understanding.

· Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization and customers in a respectful and professional manner.
