Preconstruction Manager

We have been retained by our client, a growing Commercial General Contractor in the Mobile, AL area, to find a Preconstruction Manager. This pivotal role will oversee the planning, estimating, and coordination of all preconstruction activities to ensure project readiness for commencement.

Duties:

• Lead the preconstruction process, including budget estimation, scheduling, and scope definition to ensure accurate project planning.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors during the design phase to optimize construction methods and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review and analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project requirements, constraints, and objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to construction phases.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Preconstruction Manager or similar role in commercial construction, with a strong background in estimating and project planning.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prepare financial reports, cost estimates, and bids accurately.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in construction software and technology, including estimating software and project management tools.
