Shift & Compensation Details:

The Wide Format Printer Operator position is available in various shifts, each with competitive compensation reflecting the hours and requirements:

• 1st Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  Compensation: $20-$22 per hour
• 2nd Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 5:30 PM to 3:30 AM
  Compensation: $22-$24.20 per hour
• Weekend Shift: Saturday to Monday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  Compensation: $24.50-$26.95 per hour

Job Purpose:
To manage the operation and maintenance of wide format printing machines, ensuring the production of high-quality print jobs in accordance with specified requirements and timelines.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate wide format printing and cutting equipment, including brands like Agfa and Zund, to produce print jobs as per specifications.
• Prepare materials and set up printers, following job ticket instructions to meet the desired output.
• Conduct initial checks of print runs to guarantee quality and adherence to proofs.
• Continuously monitor print quality and equipment performance to prevent defects or spoilage.
• Maintain accurate production records and manually log necessary information according to company procedures.
• Utilize Pace software system for entering job specifications and tracking.
• Manage and organize finished materials, transferring them to designated areas upon completion.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and workspace.
• Perform routine and as-needed maintenance on printing machinery.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the workplace.
• Execute additional responsibilities as required to support the team and production needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience with digital/wide format printing; knowledge of laminating and mounting is required.
• Familiarity with Zund cutting or routing equipment preferred.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Capable of lifting at least 35 pounds and standing for extended periods (8+ hours).
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on business needs.
• Strong organizational and basic computer skills.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to quality and a keen eye for detail.
• General safety knowledge and compliance.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and multitask effectively.
• Positive and proactive attitude towards both external and internal customer satisfaction.
