Job Description: Bookkeeper

Position Overview: We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. Recent grads or Accounting students in need of internship hours encouraged to apply! This is a full-time, on-site position located in Ocoee, FL.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and processing payroll. You will work closely with the Controller and other members of the accounting team to ensure that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a full-time position with opportunities for on-the-job training, growth and development within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

• Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including Journal Entries and General Ledger transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Bank and other general ledger account reconciliation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Payroll Processing using ADP Workforce Now.

Other Duties:

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses as needed.
• Assist Controller with Regulatory and Tax filings as needed.
• Support the accounting team with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in accounting and payroll.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree, Bookkeeper Certification or in progress working toward degree.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles. (GAAP)
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is desired but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
