Shift: Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Position Description

The Anodize Operator is responsible for processing parts for Anodize plating and other coatings. Anodize line operators ensure that all chemical baths are cleaned and maintained to mil spec standards. Producing parts and products that are properly coated to the correct thickness and finish.

Work Environment

Operators are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock, vibration, and seasonal high/low temperatures and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety regulations including wearing appropriate PPE when on the production floor.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, talk, hear and move about the facility. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move racked parts above shoulder height between process tanks. Operators frequently load and unload parts manually onto metal clips.

Job Responsibilities

• Titration - maintain chemical baths, keep within parameters and concentration
• Operation monitoring - watching gauges, dials or other indicators
• Equipment maintenance - performing routine maintenance on all equipment
• Complex problem solving - identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Quality control analysis - conducting tests and inspection of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance
• Operation and control - controlling operations of equipment and systems
• Coordination - adjusting action in relation to other actions
• Time management - managing one's own time and the time of others
• Perform, and adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Uses collected data to determine normality, process control limits, and areas which require improvement.
• Maintain acceptable appearance and conduct standards.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Any other responsibilities and duties as needed to meet company objectives.

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control
• Mathematics and their applications
• Knowledge of electricity, and how it is applied to our equipment and processed parts
• Knowledge of chemical properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo
• Uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques and disposal
• Knowledge of The PH Scale to identify potential hazards in the workplace
• Ability to neutralize high and low ph
• Knowledge of health and safety standards
• Knowledge of advanced use of hand tools

• Ability to continuously stand for long periods
• Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Able to control and transport a 55 gallon drum full of chemistry.
• Able to perform job tasks in all required PPE.
• Able to manipulate small hand tools.
• Able to work with metals such as titanium and aluminum
• Willing to work with hazardous chemicals
• Must be a US Citizen or green card holder
• Must have the ability to own or possess a firearm
