Senior Metrology In-house Lab Calibration Technician

Evolution Scientific is a rapidly growing service organization looking to continue growth through the addition of a Metrology Lab Manager. The individual will perform routine and complex work related to calibration of high level laboratory test, measurement equipment and instrumentation in our metrology laboratory.

Candidates must be able to work well in a team environment or individually with minimal supervision when necessary. Metrology Lab Manager will assure compliance to our ISO Quality Systems and our customer’s requirements.

An ideal applicant would have the following:

Experience executing and managing day-to-day calibration functions in a metrology laboratory.

Experience in the pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology and medical device industries performing cGxP calibrations and documentation.

Knowledge and expertise of precision measurement methods and procedures for many different measurement types, such as: Temperature, Pressure, Electrical, and Flow.

Perform measurement uncertainty analysis.

Possess the skills to lead, train and manage Calibration/Metrology personnel.

Experience implementing and maintaining all laboratory/ field aspects associated to our ISO 17025 quality system.

Current ability to utilize computerized calibration management systems such as Indysoft, ProCal, Blue Mountain and etc...

Assure compliance to our ISO 9001 Management System, ISO 17025 Accreditation, a2La Calibration Accreditation and our Customers’ requirements.

Responsibilities:

Be capable of developing calibration methods based on the principles of measurement science to meet our accuracy and uncertainty requirements.

Assure compliance to our ISO 9001 Management System, ISO 17025 laboratory Accreditation, and our Customers’ requirements.

Attention to detail; work in a highly documented and controlled environment and keep a working knowledge of regulatory standards.

Prompt identification of system problems and utilization of all available resources to affect timely resolutions.

Train Jr. Calibration Metrology Technicians on calibration and maintenance services.

Performs routine and complex work related to the calibration and maintenance of process and laboratory equipment and instrumentation in our company lab or sometimes at our client sites on the following:

pH, Conductivity, Temperature, Pressure, Humidity, HVAC, Scales and Balances, Pipettes, Fermenters, Bioreactors, Autoclaves, Incubators, Laser Particle Counters, Air Samplers, Dissolution Apparatus, Spectrophotometers, KF Titrators, Calipers, Micrometers, Mass Flow Controllers, Dissolved Oxygen, and much more. Calibration Metrology Technicians will assure compliance to our ISO Quality System and our Customer’s requirements.

Qualifications:

Min 4 years metrology lab experience

Min 2 years’ experience in calculating measurement uncertainty

Knowledge of GxP guidelines

Valid Driver's License in good standing is mandatory
