We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team. As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, staff management, and P&L. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence and a strong background in food service management. Candidate will have the ability to make executive decisions and run the operation.
Base salary is $50,000 - $75,000 with commission, $100,000
Duties:
- Develop and create innovative menus that meet the needs and preferences of our guests
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Manage inventory and control food costs to maximize profitability
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments, such as restaurant management and banquet services, to coordinate events and ensure smooth operations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in culinary techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or catering/banquets
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent cooking skills, with the ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes
- Leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing a team
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong sales and communication skills and the ability to talk to clients.
