Warehouse Supervisor - Pasadena, TX

Summary of Responsibilities

The Warehouse Supervisor ensures efficient operations of one or multiple locations and/or distribution centers. Responsibilities may include operational performance and analysis, planning and execution, inventory management, vendor management, and leadership, including performance management. Manage designated areas of Warehouse Operation, oversee functional areas including Shipping, Receiving, Will Call, etc.), and perform manager’s duties as assigned. Responsible for consistent application of SOP’s (Standard Operating Policies). Not responsible for sales.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Trains staff to ensure attainment of department performance goals.
• Supervise the warehouse team and provide training and coaching to improve performance.
• Manages and ensures successful achievement of performance goals of assigned Shipping and Receiving areas.
• Ensures compliance with all personnel policies.
• Ensures a safe working environment for all associates including surveying facility and equipment for repair and maintenance items, promoting and managing safety programs; ensuring policy adherence for worker’s compensation and general liability issues.
• Ensures the Asset Protection and Hazmat programs are enforced.
• Opens and closes the distribution center and handles customer problems.
• Communicate well with leadership, employees, and other departments
• May act as manager and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or Associates degree may be required in some areas.
• Generally, 5 to 7 years of experience in related area of responsibility. Preferred not required.

Environmental Job Requirements

• Physical activity required including bending, reaching, lifting and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Long hours of computer-based work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Working a full day in a non-climate controlled warehouse setting.
