Maintenance Assistant

Location: Conyers, GA

Salary: Based on Experience

Shift: Monday - Friday 10am to 630pm; extended hours as the situation calls for.

The Maintenance Assistant position will assist in helping with repair and maintain the equipment in a fast-paced fabrication plant. Desire to learn to use and care for new tools and equipment. Desire to learn new things and an ability to look at an issue and design and implement new processes to prevent the issue repeating. Have the basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Job Duties:

• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment, systems, and ovens.
• Check functionality of safety systems.
• Assist with the upkeep of the facilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a mechanical repair environment with proven knowledge of tool usage and care as well as a desire to learn to use and care for new tools and equipment.
• Proven knowledge of tool usage and care
• Strong work ethic that includes an excellent attendance record
• Strong respect for other workers and a willingness to take direction.
• Basic Computer skills: Excel and Word are preferred.
• experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
