Position Summary
Gas Equipment Engineer: The Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Gas Equipment Engineer role is focused on comprehensively owning, maintaining, supporting, and improving specialty and bulk gas supply systems at Samsung. As a part of the Gas Systems team, you will provide support by interacting with the on-site operations and maintenance teams, as well as customer groups, to ensure world-class performance of equipment providing critical supply to fab production. This role is also responsible for coordinating the startup and commissioning of newly installed equipment, as well as developing and executing projects to expand and improve equipment sets for the group. The role will involve management and oversight of Hazardous Production Materials (HPM), and places a premium on safety expertise and dedication.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Ensure site safety and no production impact in all work involving a large number of changepoints on active equipment.
  • Create and execute in field demo and installation work.
  • Coordinate with contractor team, Fab Engineering, and internal GCS teams to startup/modify equipment or demo out existing equipment containing active hazards.
  • Ensure proper transition of equipment from qualification and installation into internal Operations team management, including system setup, maintenance, monitoring, etc.
  • Evaluate all project changes to ensure proper design and function of equipment Coordinate for transfer of hazardous materials into active supply to Fab Engineering customer(s)

Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
  • Gas Engineer 4 year college/university or equivalent related experience preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical engineering preferred
  • 4+ years of related experience (gas or chemical equipment ownership, semiconductor experience a plus)
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to represent the group in work coordination and execution.

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
