Medical Gas Installer/Technician
Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Medical Gas Installer/Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining medical gas systems in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The role involves working with medical gas systems including oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, and vacuum systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain medical gas systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on medical gas systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot medical gas systems
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other technicians to complete projects
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of medical gas systems to ensure proper function and safety
  • Document all work performed, including maintenance and repair activities
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing and maintaining medical gas systems
  • Knowledge of NFPA 99 and other relevant codes and regulations
  • Knowledge of medical gas systems including oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, and vacuum systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a medical gas installer/technician training program
  • Certification as a Medical Gas Installer or Medical Gas Verifier by a recognized organization such as ASSE, NITC, or MEDGAS
  • Experience working in healthcare facilities or hospitals
