Job Overview

The Med Gas Certified Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for installing and supporting medical gas piping systems in accordance with project specifications and industry safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, modify, and repair medical gas piping systems (oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, vacuum, etc.)
  • Perform brazing in accordance with NFPA 99 standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and shop drawings
  • Pressure test and assist with system verification and inspections
  • Work closely with supervisors, inspectors, and other trades on-site
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
  • Ensure quality workmanship on active healthcare/commercial projects

Qualifications

  • Valid Medical Gas Certification (ASME / Brazing / NFPA 99 compliant)
  • Proven experience on commercial or healthcare construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of med gas codes and installation standards
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (healthcare project)
  • Reliable transportation and tools
