Crouse's Engineering team is hiring a Full Time Medical Gas Mechanic.
Pay Range: $21.50 - $38.93/hourly
Available Schedule(s): 7:00am-3:30pm and other shifts as needed
Medical Gas Mechanic Position Responsibilities:
  • Professionally performs ongoing preventative maintenance and repair of all hospital Medical Gas Equipment and Systems including but not limited to pumps, skids, med gas lines, filters, tanks, fittings, etc.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of and abides by AHJ requirements regarding certifications/testing of med gas systems.
  • Proactively identifies faulty equipment and completes necessary repairs in a timely and organized manner.
  • Consistently maintains a tidy work area and ensures area is clean and ready for use upon work order completion.
  • Maintains Hospital's compressed air system.

Medical Gas Mechanic Position Requirements:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid New York State driver's license.
  • Must be certified in ASSE 6020 (Medical Gas Inspection) and 6040 (Systems Maintenance) upon date of initial employment, certification must be maintained throughout employment as a Med Gas Mechanic.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a plumber with a mechanical background.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience with a Hospital/Healthcare setting.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 99.
