Job description

As a Gas Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing residential and commercial gas systems while ensuring the highest level of safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Diagnose and locate natural gas leaks using advanced leak detection equipment
  • Repair and replace gas piping systems
  • Install and service earthquake seismic gas shut-off valves
  • Perform pressure testing and gas system inspections
  • Troubleshoot gas appliance and gas supply issues
  • Conduct retrofit inspections and code compliance evaluations
  • Educate customers on repair options and safety concerns
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately
  • Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company standards
  • Deliver a professional 5-star customer experience

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of field experience in gas service, plumbing, utility work, or related trades
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with natural gas systems preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
  • Full-time availability
  • Willingness to participate in rotating weekend and after-hours on-call schedule
  • Valid California Driver's License
