Class A CDL Driver

American Stone is looking to hire a full-time Local Delivery Driver with an unrestricted Class A License (able to drive manual transmission) to deliver a wide variety of stone and related products to retail customers, landscaping and masonry contractors, and other store locations. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLASS A CDL DRIVER
As a full-time Local Driver, you are key in delivering to our retail, store locations, and contractor customers. You'll load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate the delivery vehicle, flatbed, or dump truck. You also contribute as a member of our sales team, inform customers and contractors about new products and services offered, and greeting customers. You'll diagnose and repair fleet equipment. While this is a local position, you could handle limited overnight travel very occasionally. You are kept busy not only doing deliveries but also keeping your truck in excellent working condition, stocked with all the appropriate safety equipment and necessary tools. You understand and follow DOT regulations and safety standards. When it comes to interacting with customers, you are a friendly representative of the company. You assist customers and staff, load trucks, stack rock, and perform general truck maintenance, with an upbeat attitude and a smile. You feel great satisfaction through seeing how much you help customers and keep our store running smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to drive a manual transmission with no restrictions.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, such as lifting, standing for extended periods of time, working in extreme weather conditions.
• Able to run equipment necessary to load and secure the load.
• Valid Class A CDL with proper endorsement.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission with no restrictions.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Clean driving record with no traffic violations.
• Prior experience in cash handling and customer service preferred, but not required

The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Personality and attitude are more important than experience.

DRIVER WORK SCHEDULE
The schedule is negotiable, but should generally be during our business hours. Saturdays are our busiest days of the week.
