Salary: $180,000-$250,000

We are seeking physicians interested in primary care, internal medicine, addiction medicine, urgent care, counseling, and other specialties. Job Description

 

A qualified candidate must possess compassion, empathy, and the ability to handle the demands of the position. The ideal candidate will have a strong medical background with experience directly treating patients in an in-person and telehealth setting. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct visits with patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issues in any of our applicable services, that could include patient assessments and medical history, follow-ups, diagnosis, and any other applicable medical service to render accurate and excellent patient treatment
  • Ask intuitive questions to cultivate an appropriate doctor-patient relationship throughout the continuation of the patient’s care journey
  • Order and interpret lab tests, when indicated, in order to obtain data when needed to manage a patient. or abnormalities
  • Prescribe medications and provide comprehensive instructions for administration (QuickMD does not prescribe controlled substances with the exception of buprenorphine (e.g. Suboxone))
  • Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses to form a high performing medical team
  • Create and maintain medical documentation to support the patient’s comprehensive treatment plan and medical history. 
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
  • Remain up-to-date with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars
  • May serve as a case manager for not more than 30 patients
  • Lead counseling sessions
  • Will serve as clinical supervisor for all clinical staff in the KY office

 

Requirements and skills

  • Travel to KY office 25% of the time
  • Proven experience as a physician
  • Broad knowledge of common medications, side effects, and contraindications
  • In-depth knowledge of medical best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Respect for patient’s confidentiality
  • Compassionate and approachable
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Timely completion of all training and continuing education required by Kentucky law and regulation
  • Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctorate of Osteopathic degree (DO) with a valid license to practice in the applicable specialty and the Commonwealth of Kentucky
  • DEA and Kentucky CSLs

 

As part of the onboarding process, all physicians are required to complete applicable training that may include buprenorphine training. All Kentucky employees are required to complete a pre-employment drug-screening and will be subject to random re-screenings. Malpractice insurance provided (3m/1m). 1099 provided at the end of the year.
