We are looking for a Cargo Concierge, someone who values service and compliance above all else. A team player that is willing to partner with our clients and collaborate for compliant but practical solutions that help our clients grow.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assures CBP and applicable OGA compliance and adheres to ACB operational practices.
  • Provide guidance to company employees on all import compliance issues, including interpretation and application 19 CFR and the HTSUS, classification of import shipments, review CF7501 rejections for corrections, AD/CVD, Quota, Census.
  • Update Parts Database program collaborating with client, CHB Manager and other involved employees (Sales, CHB Account Exec.).
  • Serve as the primary compliance official for CHB Department.
  • Manage the CHB certifications from US CBP including C-TPAT.
  • Prepare pre/post entry submissions to include: binding rulings, PSC’s, Protest, Mitigation requests, Prior Disclosures, CF 28/29 (reviews and client assistance).
  • Assist in problem resolution of daily problems with CBP and PGA’s.
  • Audit and review CHB files and Operations for compliance with CBP, PGA and company SOP.
  • Conduct import compliance due diligence, analyze requirements and integrate into corporate compliance program.
  • Monitor regulatory changes in conjunction with internal policies and programs.
  • Communicate and train as needed on regulatory changes.
  • Manages complex transactional or emotional clients’ situations promptly and professionally meeting commitments for service and assistance.
  • Prepares entry documentation in accordance with CBP regulations, PGA’s, and company SOP.
  • Assists CHB Manager with weekly staff meetings and updates.
  • Review internal operating procedures and provide recommendations for updates and changes.
  • Assist in prepares quotes or estimates of services for new and existing clients.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Valid U.S. Customs Broker License required.
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Customs regulations, Customs clearance, and Customs brokerage.
  • International Trade & Logistics industry experience.
  • Ability to communicate (read and write) effectively in a business environment in English and Spanish.
  • Customer focused and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated record of success in performing in an environment of change, maintaining effectiveness while managing multiple and shifting priorities.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively via e-mail, verbally, and in presentations, tailoring messaging to the appropriate level of audience.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines, prioritize workload and adjust to business needs.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology.
