Company Overview
A U.S.-based international logistics and transportation services provider supporting global trade operations across multiple modes. The organization works closely with importers, carriers, and government agencies to ensure compliant and efficient movement of goods.
Position Summary
The Customs Compliance Manager oversees U.S. import compliance operations, ensuring adherence to CBP regulations and Partner Government Agency requirements. This role manages customs entry processes, compliance programs, and a team of compliance professionals. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in customs brokerage, tariff compliance, and regulatory risk management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all customs compliance operations, including entry processing and duty payments
  • Audit entries for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare and submit Post Summary Corrections (PSCs) and protests
  • Oversee Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and consumption entries
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of customs duty statements
  • Maintain compliance with provisional tariffs, Section 232, reciprocal, and exclusion tariffs
  • Coordinate with Partner Government Agencies (PGAs)
  • Oversee Importer Security Filing (ISF) compliance
  • Utilize ACE Portal for reporting and compliance monitoring
  • Manage and optimize customs processes within CargoWise
  • Lead, train, and develop a customs compliance team
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates internally
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required:
  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License
  • Minimum 4 years of entry writing experience (including FTZ and consumption entries)
  • Minimum 4 years of management experience in customs compliance or brokerage operations
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and trade compliance programs
  • Hands-on experience with PSCs, protests, duty payments, ISF filings, and PGA requirements
  • Proficiency with CargoWise, ACE Portal, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills

Preferred:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field
  • Experience with global trade compliance and supply chain operations
  • Knowledge of free trade agreements and duty drawback programs
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
