As the Revenue Cycle Manager, you’ll partner with QI and operations teams to set the organization up for continued success

- Unique opportunity to put your stamp on the organization as Revenue Cycle Manager role is a relatively new position in the organization. You’ll build upon the existing structure, taking the organization farther than they’ve gone before
- Lead an established and growing billing team made up of a Billing Lead, two Coders, and seven Billers (the department is budgeted to be at 15 FTEs over the next few years)
- Develop a sophisticated revenue cycle dashboard to monitor KPI within their NextGen EHR. You’ll move the organization away from manual reporting process to real-time visibility into metrics regarding billing and revenue collections, claims management, and payer contract management

The Role You'll Play
- Establish revenue cycle benchmarks, and standards of practices with policies and procedures consistent with organizational goals, infrastructure, state, and federal requirements
- Oversight of all staffing functions (i.e. Billing & Coding) and provides leadership with training
- Collaborate with executive management, providers, and accounting to create financial and reporting regarding the revenue cycle
- Develops departmental goals, objectives, established staffing patterns, and organizes the work of the departments
- Directs and oversees all functions of coding, claim management, billing, payment, and collections
- Responsible for overseeing posting of charges, adjustments, and payments to patient accounts and assuring accuracy and timeliness
- Keep abreast of Medicare, Medicaid (Medi-Cal), and other third party payer rules and regulations with respect to billing and other matters and communicates this information to the physicians and appropriate team members
- Works with CFO to ensure proper cash controls are in place and payments received are posted accurately and timely
- Work closely with CFO to prepare month-end and year-end financial close
Background Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related field desirable but not required
- Previous revenue cycle experience is strongly preferred. Related healthcare revenue cycle experience will be considered
- Demonstrated expertise in analyzing data with thorough knowledge of Excel including formulas, pivot tables, etc.
- Strong technical skills with respect to Electronic Health Records. Experience with NextGen is desirable
- Process-minded and data-driven with the ability to assess policies and procedures, reduce bottlenecks, and increase efficiency
- Strong communication skills; and effective manager and leader
- Expertise and self-sufficiency to lead all revenue cycle functions independently. Though the CFO will be available as coach and mentor, must be comfortable to work independently to advance the organization’s initiatives
