Position Purpose
The
Revenue Cycle Support Specialist is
responsible for supporting and/or managing one of the following functions: General IT Support, Revenue Cycle Systems, and Identity Management. The Senior is a subject matter expert or supervisory position. Although this position will perform all of the functions of an entry-level support specialist, it will have the added responsibilities of supervising and developing employees, leading complex defect resolution, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Position Purpose

Revenue Cycle Support Specialist is

Responsibilities & Task
- This is a Remote Position
- Responds to level 1 through level 3 incidents.
- Communicates with end users.
- Assists employees with technical troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoots various applications.
- Follows standard support procedures.
- Determines and documents issues and resolutions.
- Understands and utilizes the company resource structure.
License or Certification:
- Valid state driver's license
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's Degree or Undergraduate degree recommended.
- Minimum 10 years of experience.
- Technical certification (e.g., Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, PeopleSoft People Tools Certification, Microsoft Certified Engineer, CompTIA A+, etc) is preferred but not required.
- Experience in:
- Executing standard troubleshooting procedures
- Providing support services to end users
- Tracking and reporting defects and issues
- Documenting issues and resolutions
- Troubleshooting basic IT infrastructure and application components
- Expertise with regulatory compliance:
- HIPAA
- Privacy and Security
- IT Support Specialists will have experience in supporting or supervising one or more of the following:
- Medium complexity applications.
- Desktop hardware and software support.
- Troubleshoot PCs (both laptop, desktops and tablets)
- Telephone, fax and other networked equipment.
- IT Support specialists will have prerequisite healthcare experience and expertise with one or more of the following:
- Health care provider revenue cycle, clinical and other applications
- Corporate systems and applications such as PeopleSoft Financials or Hyperion Business Intelligence applications
- Escalating unresolved issues to proper personnel
- Providing senior-level end-user support and status for urgent or complicated issues
- Working and documenting activities in a Remedy Incident tracking system
- Revenue cycle support specialists will have prerequisite functional knowledge in supporting or supervising one or more of the following revenue type applications:
- Interfacing to and from PAS-Patient Accounting Systems
- PAS-Patient Accounting Systems.
- Third Party Billing/Revenue Clearing House
- Pharmacy Systems
- Clinical
- Home Health
- Revenue cycle support specialists will have prerequisite Health Care industry expertise in one or more of the following:
- Medical billing
- Health care provider revenue cycle
- Clinical coding
- Financial management
- Senior Identity Management Support Specialist requirements:
- Identity management support specialists will have prerequisite functional knowledge in supporting or supervising one or more of the following areas:
- User management
- User ID, password and applications access provisioning
- Information security
- Application security
- Network security
- Data security
- Access management
- Active directory
- User and group roles
