We are looking for a master electrician / journeyman! The candidate has a strong background in all aspects of electrical disciplines and has the proven ability to lead a team of technicians. The responsibilities include using several tools to install and service electrical systems, observing company safety guidelines, documenting each project, providing material cost and time estimates, and training level I and II Electrical technicians. You must be able to follow directions and be willing to help with any aspect of an electrical project.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs of equipment and electrical faults as a team or ability to accomplish on without supervision.
- Traveling to various public and private locations for electrical service calls.
- Performing inspections and conducting assessments.
- Selecting, installing, and preserving the functionality of wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, switchboards, and similar.
- Setting up and maintaining electrical machines and equipment.
- Monitoring inventory to ensure adequate stock.
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations.
- Providing professional, friendly, and prompt services
- Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components.
- Interpreting blueprints and drawing rough sketches when required.
- Guiding and overseeing level I and II electricians while in the field
- Obtaining equipment, tools, and materials for projects.
- Drawing up preventative maintenance measures and explaining these to customers and other electricians.
- Testing and troubleshooting systems.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Participate in all technical training.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working as an electrician is mandatory.
- Licensed to practice as a Journeyman Electrician in the State of Florida.
- Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and holidays.
- Firm grasp of health and safety codes.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
