Warehouse Supervisor - 3rd shift

3rd Hours: 10:30pm to 7:30am

Brief Summary

Responsible for the supervision, control and distribution of all manufactured and purchased foodservice and retail products stored in the Distribution Center. Issues corrective actions on non-conforming product and serves as a liaison between management and Distribution Center personnel.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe environment for all employees in the Distribution Center.
• Maintain teamwork, consistency, and fairness among all employees to create a positive work environment with the department and among other departments.
• Schedule maintenance & repairs of equipment and assist in the maintenance of material handling equipment for departmental use.
• Controls the budget thru reduction and control of overtime.
• Controls inventory of the Distribution Center, through proper rotation and shipping procedures.
• Maintain records of all transactions, including requirements of the customers, policies and procedures of the company.
• Supervise the fulfillment of all customer orders providing hands-on assistance when needed to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Resolves any employee issues and documents disciplinary actions and superior performance recognitions for all employees.
• Responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance including HACCP program and AIB gold standards.
• Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Education

• Minimum 2 years logistics experience in a supervisory role.
• 2 years experience in Food Operations preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Some college courses completed.

Skills

• Be able to walk long distances and to be on his/her feet for long periods of time.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Effectively communicate in Spanish and English. 
• Excellent people skills with the ability to adapt to system changes as needed.
• Must be able to work independently with a proven record of follow-though, teamwork and accountability.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
