TSC's Innovation and Rapid Development Division is actively recruiting an experienced Senior Aviation Support Manager to manage, administer, and coordinate the required aviation related support activities in a dynamic integrated cross functional team. Directly supports the Aviation Director of Operations, the Chief of Operations, and Program Management team. The ideal candidate must possess the ability and initiative to work autonomously, solve problems, and operate in dynamic environment. The primary work location for this position is intended to be filled in vicinity of Fayetteville NC or Plano TX. A full or partial remote telework schedule may be considered. Occasional travel will be required (up to 25%).

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be one of two primary Management focal points for all Training, Standards, and Evaluation Programs within the Innovation & Rapid Development Division. Shall also serve as the primary focal point and manager of all company required, or contract required, documentation directly in support of Pilots, Mission Payload Operators, Maintenance Professionals, Crew Chiefs, Field Engineers, Students, Instructor Cadre, and Evaluators. The supported workforce is distributed across multiple geographically separated sites in support of sustained global aviation operation network.

The responsibilities of this include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Primary focal point for the Aviation Director of Operations (ADO) to ensure routine requirements are satisfied on schedule to support all operational requirements
  • Ensures all supporting documentation is accomplished to meet company or contractual requirements for compliance of all aviation personnel within I&RD division
  • Serves assistant management function for all training and standards programs
  • Work under minimal supervision on time sensitive projects in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work in an autonomous and/or deployed settings
  • Provide direct supervision of the process and accountability for all required deliverables
  • Management of internal & external stakeholder engagements; including annual Government inspections

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate key supporting interaction and process flow across a growing aviation team; including subcontractors
  • Manage support of administrative needs of aviation personnel and program leadership
  • Coordinate requirements for Initial Qualification, Re-qualification, Difference or Upgrade Training
  • Coordinate requirements for Mission Qualification Training, Evaluations, and Watch Programs
  • Direct liaison between respective functional leads and aviation personnel career development
  • Tracks required aviation training to ensure readiness and compliance
  • Organizes and archives aviation personnel records
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Required Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or >8 years’ experience in Unmanned Aircraft Operations (including distributed RSO)
  • 5+ years of experience in aviation defense related training programs, or management thereof
  • 5+ years of experience in aviation standards and evaluations programs, or management thereof
  • Self-motivated and free-thinking individual capable of independent problem solving, managing small teams or customer interaction
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, schedule, and organize completion of multiple tasks simultaneously according to importance of projects or tasks assigned
  • Ability to understand and apply company practices, policies, and procedures to conduct assigned tasks
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively, tactfully, and respectfully
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Unmanned Aircraft Operations or Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operations
  • Direct involvement of Initial Cadre training and qualification for Rapid Development and Technology transfer
  • 5+ years of experience directly supporting rotationally deployed aviation personnel
  • 2+ years of management experience in aviation related Training Programs (IQT, RQT, IUT, MQT, etc)
  • 2+ years of management experience in aviation related Standards and Evaluations Programs
  • Experience using Costpoint and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of DCAA Compliant Timekeeping Standards
  • Ability or eligibility to qualify for Mission Payload Operator or Mission Pilot

Must Actively Hold a DoD Security Clearance for this Position: Yes, SECRET minimum

Travel: Yes, travel up to 25% will be required. A valid US Passport is required.
