Field Service Technician

We are actively looking for a highly skilled and customer-focused Last Mile Installation and Testing (LIT) Service Technician to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications industry. As a Field Services Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, configuration, and testing of telecom equipment, focusing on industry-leading brands such as Cisco, Ciena, and Fujitsu. This position requires a meticulous attention to detail, robust technical expertise, and outstanding customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Installation and Configuration:
- Deploy and set up telecom equipment, including Cisco, Ciena, and Fujitsu devices.
- Ensure proper configuration of equipment to meet specified requirements.
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys to assess optimal installation conditions.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Execute thorough testing procedures on installed equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during testing phases.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical challenges and improve system efficiency.
Telecom Services:
- Work with a range of services, including but not limited to Ethernet, Waves, and Dedicated Internet Access (DIA).
- Ensure seamless integration of services with telecom equipment.
- Provide technical support for service-related inquiries and issues.
Customer Service:
- Interact directly with customers during installations and service visits.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide clear explanations of technical processes.
- Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering high-quality service.
Requirements:
Technical Proficiency:
- Demonstrated experience with telecom equipment, especially Cisco, Ciena, and Fujitsu devices.
- Familiarity with Ethernet, Waves, and DIA services.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Detail-Oriented:
- Meticulous attention to detail in installation, configuration, and testing processes.
- Adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
