Icario is seeking a talented Director of Software Engineering with a passion for building teams that deliver incredible technology to delight our clients. You will be responsible for leading an engineering team to help build the next generation of Icario platform. You will also play a key role on our Engineering Leadership team. You will have a direct impact on our success by ensuring our Engineering teams have the tools and processes in place to deliver quality software that gets the right message to the right person at the right time, enabling people to take action and improve their health and wellbeing. For this particular opportunity, we are seeking for someone to join our team based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Why We Need You
- Manage, mentor, grow and enable a high performing team of platform developers working on healthcare industry tough problems
- Provide technical direction and audit design decisions of their team
- Cultivate best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
- Drive operational excellence for their team's areas of responsibility
- Collaborate with other team leaders on developing and presenting product roadmaps
What We'll Love About You

- Strong experience at the Engineering Director level
- Strong experience with building PaaS, SaaS, and/or data platforms
- Strong experience with Java or other JVM languages
- Strong experience with building out applications using microservices, specifically within the healthcare space
- Proven track record of driving a product vision and strategy while leveraging strong cross-functional partnerships with Product Management and Technical Program Management teams
- A healthy blend of deep technical knowledge with a customer-focused mindset and empathy
- Strategic thinker that can connect customer use cases to technology solutions and think holistically about end-to-end experience
- Experienced with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery culture
- Experience working in Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
- Energized by a fast-paced, late-stage startup and able to embrace change to drive the organization forward
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
