Automotive Repair Technician

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing services and conducting diagnostics scans to diagnose and recommend repairs for vehicles involved in collisions, including passenger airbags, wire repairs, full interior jobs, dashboards, and more. You will also be responsible for making effective repair recommendations on various makes and models. Responsibilities of the Automotive Repair Technician:

• Use a range of OEM tools and diagnostic equipment to make effective repair recommendations for various makes and models.
• Independently perform basic to advanced physical repairs on damaged vehicles.
• Drive or move customer vehicles to shop locations.
• Conduct remote pre-, post-, and diagnostic scans for all makes and models, identifying faults, error messages, module corrections, etc.
• Communicate technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanically inclined individuals.

Qualifications for the Automotive Repair Technician:

• Two to three years of experience in a car dealership or aftermarket repair facility as an Automotive Technician.
• Must have company-designated certifications or obtain them within six months: ASE, I-Car, MECP
• Experience and knowledge of OEM scan tools and/or aftermarket scan tools.
• Proficient in identifying faults, error messages, and modules.
• Strong automotive mechanical and electrical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Compensation for the Automotive Repair Technician:

• Direct Hire
• Hours: Mon-Fri, 8 hour shifts, OT potential depending on store needs
• Pay: $17-35/hour (DOE)
