D&H Industries is looking for a Tool & Die Designer to join their team!
D&H Industries is a leader in precision metal stampings and fabrications with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Our customer base crosses many industry sectors providing stability and promoting growth.
The Tool & Die Designer is responsible for; developing end strip layouts and design progressive dies to produce finished components. Developing blank geometry and designs deep draw dies. Prepares blueprints, related drawings or details using computer aided design (CAD) software, SolidWorks. Provide support to the Toolmaking team to meet quality standards.
1. Develop: end strip layout, flat blank geometry, and die concepts.
2. Creates detail drawings using computer aided design (CAD) software, SolidWorks.
3. Revises existing drawings and convert to SolidWorks format.
4. Provides support to resolve technical problems.
5. Understands, complies and makes recommendations for changes to the design and drafting standards.
6. Provides technical information and specifications as requested
7. Procures materials related to tool construction.
The qualified candidate will have; a highschool degree, 2 year technical degree related to this field preferred. At least 2 years design experience. Strong Tool & Die background, Strong SolidWorks experience preferred, CAD skills, excellent communication and organizational skills and be proficient in problem solving.
