Job Title: Financial Analyst

Security Clearance Required: Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Job Brief: We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Financial Analyst to join our Innovation & Emerging Technology Division. The ideal candidate will provide accurate and data-based information on our division's profitability, solvency, stability, and liquidity. You will research and analyze financial information to support well-informed decisions, contribute to reports, and monitor financial movements.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate and analyze financial data, considering the division's goals and financial standing.
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
• Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.
• Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking, and process analysis.
• Conduct business studies on past, future, and comparative performance, and develop forecast models.
• Identify trends, advise the division, and recommend actions based on sound analysis.
• Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making.
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the division.

Job Duties:

• Maintain and create databases of financial information pertinent to the division.
• Develop reports for various departments on sales and accounting performance.
• Collect data on departmental performance and generate quarterly reviews with feedback on optimizing progress.
• Attend quarterly meetings with executive leadership to discuss budget progress and projections.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven working experience as a Financial Analyst.
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages.
• Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the technology or innovation sector.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.

Years of Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
